About Us
graphicCOMMcentral
GRAPHIC COMM CENTRAL (GCC), funded by the Graphic Arts Education and Research Foundation, has provided access to resources and information for the graphic communications education community since its inception in 1997.
GCC was recently redesigned and will be recognized as graphicCOMMcentral (gCc). The web site will provide a direct connection to an extensive network of resources and information for and about today’s graphic communications industry. This invaluable tool will be a gateway to industry web sites that offer cutting edge information about industry markets and trends, technology updates, education and career opportunities, breaking industry news – and more.
graphicCOMMcentral content will be continually updated. To submit relevant industry information for the web site, contact GAERF by e-mail at: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or by phone at: (866) 381-9839.
Mark Sanders, Ph.D., founded GCC and maintained the web site from the campus of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, VA until July 2009. The web site is now managed by the Graphic Arts Education and Research Foundation.
Graphic Arts Education and Research Foundation
The Graphic Arts Education and Research Foundation was created by the National Association for Printing Leadership, NPES The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies and the Printing Industries of America in 1983. These three national associations jointly own the Graphic Arts Show Company (GASC). GAERF was created to channel a portion of the revenues earned by GASC-managed shows into projects supporting a strong future for the industry. For additional information about the Foundation and its programs, visit the GAERF web site at: www.gaerf.org.
